Podcast #02- Gig Review: Polish Club at the Republic Bar, Hobart (13/05/17)

Polish Club, a rock duo out of Sydney, have quickly established themselves as one of the most promising bands in the country.

With a sweaty, rollicking garage blues sound, the duo released a self-titled EP in 2015, a stellar double single (My House / Blood and Bone) in 2016, and their debut full-length Alright Already in March of 2017.

Each of these releases has shown a progression in sound, with their debut LP demonstrating that the duo have the capacity to flawlessly weave their way between sounds of classic rock, garage rock and blues.

On their biggest national tour to date, Polish Club brought their passionate and energetic live show to the Republic Bar and Cafe in Hobart, with support from Launceston’s Hurricane Youth and Hobart’s own Maddy Jane.

All in all, it was an exceptional night of live music, and a clear indication that Polish Club have the potential to become of the biggest and best rock bands in the country. It was a pleasure witnessing Polish Club in action, so here’s Tree and Anthony dissection of all the action!

Here is Polish Club’s video for ‘Beeping’:
